The stage is set. Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga Astounding and Disturbing in “JOKER: FOLIE À DEUX” Trailer

The Clown Prince of Crime is back and this time he might’ve finally met his match. Joaquin Phoenix reprises his titular role, and joining him as Harley Quinn is singer and actress Lady Gaga. The trailer for "Joker: Folie à Deux" was just released yesterday and the trailer alone looks like this will be an instant classic like its predecessor.

"Joker: Folie à Deux" is the sequel to 2019’s "Joker" where it followed  Arthur Fleck’s transformation from washed up clown into Gotham’s most famous villain. "Joker" is the highest grossing R-rated film of all time, and the first R-rated film to gross over $1 billion worldwide. It received the Golden Lion award during the film’s Venice Film Festival premiere. "Joker" was nominated for 11 Academy awards, including Best Picture, with the film winning Best Original Score and Phoenix winning for Best Actor. Other notable accolades include Best Score and Best Actor at the Golden Globe, BAFTA, and Critics’ Choice Movie Awards.

"Joker: Folie à Deux" will make its way to Philippine cinemas on October 2, 2024 (two days earlier than its US release). Hopefully like last time, the film's version locally will be rated R-16 without cuts.
