Netflix Announces 'Yu Yu Hakusho' Main Cast with Exclusive Character Posters

Pinoy fan-favorite anime characters Eugene (Yusuke), Vincent (Hiei), Dennis (Kurama), and Alfred (Kuwabara) are set to return next year with a live-action series of popular anime, "Yu Yu Hakusho", only on Netflix.
Takumi Kitamura will be taking on the lead role of Yusuke Urameshi (Eugene)
The manga revolves around Yusuke Urameshi, a junior high school student who spends his days getting into fights and dies in an accident while trying to protect a young child. As he grapples with the fact that he is looking down on his dead body, a woman named Botan, who calls herself a guide to the spirit world, relays to him the shocking truth: no one expected a delinquent like Yusuke to die performing an act of goodness, and there was no place for him in either heaven or hell. Thus, Yusuke is given a chance to be revived, and after passing his trial, he becomes an Underworld Detective. From there, Yusuke becomes entwined in a mystery that envelopes the human, demon and spirit worlds.
Jun Shisonwill be taking on the role of Kurama (Dennis)
The series has been a main stay in Filipino Pop Culture. Locally known as "Ghost Fighter", it arrived in local shores in the mid-90s. The original Japanese anime series aired from 1992 to 1995 and was based on the "Yu Yu Hakusho" Weekly Shonen Jump Comics by Yoshihiro Togashi.
Kanata Hongowill be taking on the role of Hiei (Vincent)
This live adaptation was previously announced by Netflix back in June 2020 while production commenced December of that same year. Directed by Sho Tsukikawa, the main cast is composed of Takumi Kitamura, Jun Shison, Kanata Hongo, and Shuhei Uesugi. "Yu Yu Hakusho" will be premiering worldwide and only on Netflix in December 2023.
Shuhei Uesugi will be taking on the role of Kazuma Kuwabara (Alfred)
