Netflix Wins Big in 57th Baeksang Arts Awards Headlined by SPACE SWEEPERS and THE CALL

The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards has crowned its winners and it was a great outing for Netflix as numerous original titles won awards. If you're not familiar with the Baeksang Arts Awards (or Paeksang Arts Awards), it is South Korea's only comprehensive awards ceremony which honors the best performances in television, film, and theatre since 1965. Some notable wins for Netflix from the 2021 Baeksang Arts Awards include: 

1. Jun Jong-seo for Best Leading Actress ("The Call")

2. Oh Jung-se for Best Supporting Actor ("It's Okay to Not Be Okay") 

3. Yeom Hye-ran for Best Supporting Actress ("The Uncanny Counter")

4. Lee Do-hyun for Best New Actor ("18 Again")

5. Park Ju-hyun for Best New Actress ("Extracurricular")

6. Kim Cheol-kyu for Best Director in TV Drama ("Flower of Evil")

7. Kim Seon-ho ("Start-Up") and Seo Yea-ji ("It's Okay to Not Be Okay") for TikTok Popularity Award

8. "Space Sweepers" for Best Technical Achievement in Film - Visual Effects

9. "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" for Best Technical Achievement in TV Drama - Costume
