Neve Campbell has signed on to reprise her iconic role as Sidney Prescott from the preceding four films in the "Scream" franchise announced recently by Spyglass Media Group, LLC and Paramount Pictures. Neve Campbell joins previously announced legacy cast members David Arquette and Courteney Cox who will both return as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers. The new cast members are Dylan Minnette, Jack Quaid, Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega, Mason Gooding, Kyle Gallner, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mikey Madison. The film is more than a year away with production set to shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Spyglass and Paramount Pictures plans to release the film worldwide, including the Philippines on January 2022.
“Scream” is a long-running genre-busting horror franchise which generated four feature films including “Scream” (1996), “Scream 2” (1997), “Scream 3” (2000) and “Scream 4” (2011). Directed by famed “maestro of horror,” the late Wes Craven, the films went on to gross more than $600 million in worldwide box office receipts. One of the Executive Producers, Kevin Williamson, created and wrote the original film as well as “Scream 2” and “Scream 4” so we should expect big things from this relaunch.
In Philippine cinemas 2022, “Scream” will be distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures. Connect with the hashtag #ImBack and tag uipmoviesph
