Never has nature been as important as now. Locally, there have been massive efforts to protect our natural resources from fixing tourist spots like Boracay or cleaning up the Manila Bay. It seems that there is still hope that we can at least stop and hopefully fix decades of misuse and abuse by us humans. Netflix in part with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and the creators of the award-winning series "Planet Earth", is releasing a new series named "Our Planet", which hopefully brings more awareness to the beauty and fragility of nature to its millions of subscribers this April 5, 2019. The nature documentary series also made a landmark as it was the first-time ever that a nature documentary series had a spot on the Super Bowl - not an easy feat considering the cost alone. You can view the 30-second spot and read more about "Our Planet" below:
"Our Planet" will be an eight-part series, narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The series will explore the unique and precious wonders of our natural world by combining stunning photography and technology with an unprecedented, never-before-filmed look at the planet’s remaining wilderness areas and their animal inhabitants. The ambitious four-year project was filmed in 50 countries across all the continents of the world, with over 600 crew members and more than 3,500 filming days combined. "Our Planet" will focus on the breadth of the diversity of habitats around the world, from the remote Arctic wilderness and mysterious deep oceans to the vast landscapes of Africa and diverse jungles of South America.
