WATCH: Spielberg's READY PLAYER ONE Unleashes First Trailer and Is It a Wonder

Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for "Ready Player One", the next sci-fi action adventure film from legendary director, Steven Spielberg. The film is based on the 2011 Ernest Cline novel of the same name and takes place in the year 2045, where the world is on the brink of chaos and collapse but people have found an exit to their real world problems with the virtual reality game OASIS. "Ready Player One" is set to open March 31, 2018 in Philippine Cinemas. Check out the trailer below:

OASIS is an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS - sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery, and danger. The film also stars Olivia Cooke, Ben Mendelsohn, T.J. Miller and Simon Pegg.
