GOYO: ANG BATANG HENERAL, Sequel to HENERAL LUNA, Begins Pre-Production

"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" begins pre-production. The announcement was made on the film's official Facebook page yesterday. The message, which you can see below, shows a photo with Jerrold Tarog and Rody Vera signing old-school style (with dip pen and ink that is).

The movie features Gregorio del Pilar as its main character and will expand the character based from the events featured in "Heneral Luna". Paulo Avelino will reprise his role as del Pilar. Returning are Epy Quizon as Apolinario Mabini, Alvin Anson as Heneral Jose Alejandrino, Mon Confiado as Emilio Aguinaldo, Arron Villaflor as Joven Villaflor, the first film's fictional writer who was interviewing Heneral Luna, while Carlo Aquino joins the cast with a yet-to-be named role as del Pilar's aide.

"Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral" is expected to release sometime 2018. The film is the second film in a planned trilogy. The third film is expected to feature Manuel L. Quezon - considered to be the second President of the Philippines.
