"Boses" Set for Nationwide Release Starting July 31 Exclusively in SM Cinemas


"Boses" is an advocacy film for children's right and protection. Directed by Ellen Ongkeko Marfil, the film tells the story of Onyok (Julian Duque), an abused child who finds hope in music. It features world-renowned violinist Coke Bolipata playing as Ariel, the child's mentor. The film also stars Cherry Pie Picache as the head of a center for battered children, Ricky Davao as the abusive father, and Meryll Soriano as a love interest of Ariel.



The film is set to have a homecoming wide release starting July 31 exclusively in SM Cinemas nationwide, through the full support and endorsement of World Vision, DepEd, CHED, Jesuit Communications, CBCP-Episcopal Commission for the Youth, Veritas, and Youth Pinoy. Boses is granted by Cinemalaya, UNICEF, DSWD, CWC, NCCA, FDCP, and Casa San Miguel. Additionally, "Boses" was one of the entries in the 2008 Cinemalaya Film Festival and got a grade of "A" from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
