Zack Snyder makes his first animation film with the fantasy adventure “Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole”. The movie is based on books by Kathryn Lasky of the same name. The film stars Soren, a young owl who is astonished by his father’s stories of the Guardians of Ga’ Hoole. The Guardians are a mythological band of winged warriors who had fought a great battle to save all of owlkind from the Pure Ones. While Soren dreams of someday joining his childhood heroes in battle, his older brother Kludd, thinks this is purely nonsense and yearns to take away his father’s affection from Soren. Kludd’s jealousy has consequences though as both owlets fall from their home and right into the hands of the Pure Ones. Now it is up to Soren to make a daring escape with his older brother. Both find the Great Tree which is the home of the fabled Guardians. The Guardians are Soren’s only hope of defeating the Pure Ones and saving the owl kingdom. The film features the voices of Emily Barclay, Abbie Cornish, Emilie de Ravin, Ryan Kwanten, Miriam Margolyes, Helen Mirren, Sam Neill, Geoffrey Rush, Jim Sturgess, Hugo Weaving and David Wenham.
